Skin type: discover which skin type you have and which skincare suits it
Radiant and healthy skin starts with knowing your skin type. Every skin type is different and has different needs when it comes to care. Do you use the wrong products? Then you might actually suffer more from pimples, dryness, irritation or shine. Do you use products adapted to your skin type? Then you will soon see and feel the difference. But... what is your skin type? And which products suit it best?
What skin type do you have?
There are 4 different skin types. Find out which products and care match your skin type.
- Normal skin: The 'ideal' skin: not too dry, not too oily, with small pores and an even complexion. Yet even this skin type needs the right care to stay balanced.
- Dry skin: Does your skin feel tight or notice flaky patches? Dry skin often lacks moisture and natural oils. Extra hydration and nourishment are essential for this skin type.
- Oily skin: Shiny areas and enlarged pores are typical of oily skin. Although this skin type is less likely to wrinkle, it requires specific care to keep excess sebum under control.
- Combination skin: a little bit of everything? Combination skin is characterised by an oily T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) and drier cheeks. Balance is the key word here.
Why is knowing your skin type so important?
Skin care is not one-size-fits-all. What works for one person may backfire for another. When you know your skin type, you can make much more targeted choices:
- Less irritation or pimples
- Balanced skin
- A beautiful, natural glow
- Less dry or oily areas
- Better results from your skincare
Skin type combined with skin conditions and skin problems
Sometimes your skin type is not the only thing you pay attention to. Your skin type also has skin conditions and may suffer from skin problems. We have extensive advice and product recommendations for these too!
