Oily skin
Shiny areas and enlarged pores are typical of oily skin. This is because the sebaceous glands produce more oil than necessary, which can lead to an oily shine and an increased risk of blemishes. Although this skin type is less likely to wrinkle, it requires specific care to control excess sebum and prevent clogging of pores. Opt for lightweight, non-comedogenic products that help regulate sebum production without drying out the skin. Read more >>

Oily skin: here's how to get your skin back into balance
Oily skin can sometimes be quite troublesome. Gloom, enlarged pores, pimples or blackheads are common with this skin type. But did you know that oily skin also has advantages? You are less likely to get wrinkles and the skin often stays supple for longer. With the right care, you can perfectly control oily skin without drying it out.
What is oily skin?
Oily skin makes more sebum (natural skin oil) than necessary. This causes your skin to become shiny faster and clogged pores. The T-zone in particular (forehead, nose, chin) is often extra oily.
Characteristics of oily skin
- Shiny skin, especially in the T-zone
- Enlarged pores
- Blackheads and pimples
- Impurities return faster
- Make-up does not stay on as well
- Sometimes coarser skin texture
Our tip
The biggest mistake with oily skin? Cleaning too aggressively or drying out. This actually makes your skin oilier. So choose mild products, keep moisturising and be patient: oily skin needs some time to rebalance.
